Jira Align is expanding its footprint in India. We are looking for experienced engineers to join our India team and help us benchmark and scale our product to support some of the largest enterprise customers of Atlassian.

Our new Performance Management team will take on mission to create, adapt, and uphold standards for the Jira Align product's performance and to give all JA tech teams the resources they need to offer high-performing functionality through the provision of appropriate technology, tools, and procedures. This team will provide the best tool set, configurations and practices for benchmarking key customer journeys and integrate that in our release pipeline.This will allow our application developers to spend more time writing new code and less time debugging and fixing production issues.

An ideal candidate will possess most of the following requirements -

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer science in a related technical field or similar experience.

• 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture of highly scaled applications focused on performance optimisations.

• Fluency in the Microsoft tech stack / languages (.Net, C#, MSSQL, etc.), DB schema, Stored procedures, Indexing etc. with the ability to review code.

• An expert in software performance management and having working experience of benchmarking tools like jmeter, Tricentis or Neoload etc.

• Experience with hardware sizing and load-balancing to ensure high-availability and performance.

• Passion for tackling complex performance bottleneck challenges.

• Ability to work through ambiguities and deliver systematic value increments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Automate testing, deployment, and other tasks related to software delivery.

• Partner across engineering teams to provide solutions for org-wide programmes.

• Mentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise through knowledge sharing sessions.

• Participate in Agile software development including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, show and tell demo sessions.

Preferred

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Experience with network load balancing and bandwidth optimisation
