Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Engineer to lead an empowered team who moves fast and is building high quality enterprise-grade and intelligent internal applications. People Tools are used wall-to-wall by the TEAM at Atlassian, enhancing every step in our employee journey. You'll be a hands-on technical leader and people manager and will play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision, strategy, delivery and engineering plus operational excellence of People Tools.

Responsibilities

  • 8+ years of experience with building large-scale and modern web software mixed IaaS, PaaS and SasS environment

  • 5+ years of driving company-wide engineering programs at similar sized SaaS companies

  • 5+ years of experience in large development teams

  • Driving clarity from single-line requirements and providing direction in ambiguous environments

  • Ability to drive excellence, pushing innovation, quality, and operational excellence

  • A track record of strong execution and delivering results

  • Strong communication skills (technical, non-technical audiences and senior leadership)

It would be great if you have

  • Experience with HR and Recruiting business concepts and processes, and responsible AI

  • Experience in defining a strategic roadmap for products and platforms

  • Experience with distributed development teams across multiple geographies

  • Continuous delivery with a strong bias for action

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development management experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a preference for Computer Science degree

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience driving the technical strategy of the team

  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and working with high performing engineering teams
