Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Design Leader to lead the Commerce Design Team. The Commerce Design team is driving a bold transformation program to support Atlassian's next wave growth. Our mission is to accelerate the Commerce platform transformation and scale up our billing infrastructure for the future to better serve our customers, advocates and partners. Reporting into the Head of Design for Ecosystem/Marketplace and Commerce, you'll lead a distributed team of Product and Content Designers all motivated to deliver cohesive billing experiences. The ideal candidate will have both a strong design background and experience with commerce platforms.

In this role you will

• Partner with leadership, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create a user friendly billing experience for Atlassian customers, partners and internal teams.

• Lead multiple design projects from creation to execution and be responsible tying back to customer value delivery and outcomes

• Communicate design concepts and plans persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization

• Identify success metrics for ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value

• Identify opportunities to enhance our admin experience and accelerate billing experiences at Atlassian

• You'll work with fellow Designers as well as Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for the user experience in our platform and ship high-quality work

Qualifications

• More than five years experience in Design Leadership roles

• Experience in planning and driving direction autonomously - both as a hands-on designer, and as a manager

• Maintain an area of core strength in one or more Design disciplines where you can lead through your expertise

• Track-record in working effectively with scaled systems and different methods for designing

• Demonstrated capability to understand the technical underpinnings of software products

• Positive collaboration history with other departments, like Engineering, Product Management and Research

• Examples of a high degree of influence with all kinds of internal partners, including senior leadership
