Overview

Are you a visionary content designer ready to shape the future of Atlassian? The Global Experiences team is looking for a dynamic, innovative, and passionate Senior Content Designer to redefine how we help our customers work. This person will be based out of Australia or New Zealand.

Our mission is to unite Atlassian's portfolio through core user experiences that cut through the noise and understand the who, the what, and the why across our customers' organizations. We enable customers to set and manage goals, communicate work progress, connect with teams, and get a comprehensive view of their work.

As a senior content designer, you'll collaborate with product and content designers, developers, product managers, researchers, marketing partners, and work across the Atlassian org, to deliver our roadmap and create experiences that help our customers and business thrive.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Define and advance content design: Shape the role of content design within the Global Experiences team in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Content strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that consider the entire customer lifecycle and align with our goals and user needs.

  • Utilize data-driven insights: Drive comprehensive customer research and leverage insights and user feedback to refine content strategies and drive continuous improvement.

  • Drive content quality: Ensure all content is clear, concise, accessible, and user-centred, adhering to our high standards of quality and brand voice.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with a cross-functional team to build well-crafted UX and content experiences for a diverse range of customers.

  • Develop yourself and others: Actively seek out coaching, feedback, and mentoring as well as opportunities to coach and mentor others, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Qualifications

  • Extensive content design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software

  • Experience in creating and delivering content strategies

  • Passion for story-telling, the ability to bring design direction to life with compelling narrative

  • Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility

  • Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate content design discussions that positively influence future delivery roadmaps.

  • Experience in design systems, and the ability to identify common content patterns and frameworks.

  • Experience measuring success with qualitative and quantitative methods
