Join the Information Protection Design Team at Atlassian, where we are dedicated to safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards.

Our team manages initiatives key to Atlassian’s continued growth, including Atlassian Guard, FedRAMP compliance, data residency, customer-managed keys, and audit logs. As a member of this team, you’ll work with our largest and most complex customers, playing a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of customer data across Atlassian's platforms. You will report to the Director of Design for Information Protection and collaborate with a diverse group of experts to shape the future of Information Protection features and experiences critical to securing customer data.

What you'll do

• Develop content design strategy: Lead the content design strategy for new deployment offerings and security and compliance offerings, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other partners to define and execute the wider Information Protection strategy.

• Enhance craft quality: Improve craft quality for all content design specializations within your team, bringing the perspective and needs of Information Protection design to larger strategic projects.

• Lead content design projects: Guide content design projects from conception to execution, ensuring they deliver cohesive and user-centered content solutions.

• Define content standards: Define and socialize content design standards and patterns for security and compliance.

• Facilitate cross-functional alignment: Use your facilitation skills to work dynamically across multiple teams and align cross-functional partners around clear goals and design solutions.

Your background

• Experience: 8+ years of content design experience, particularly in designing complex or enterprise-level software, with a strong background in security, compliance, and/or platform content design.

• Leadership skills: Proven experience in coaching and leading other content designers, providing critique, and supporting effective design operations to generate higher quality outcomes for users.

• Strategic thinking: Ability to balance customer needs and business goals, with experience in design systems, identifying and creating common content patterns and frameworks to support a range of customer use cases.

• Communication and collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive content solutions.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

• Zone A: $175,000 - $233,300

• Zone B: $157,500 - $210,000

• Zone C: $145,200 - $193,600

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
