Your Future Team

Atlassian seeks a Jira Administrator to join our Workplace Technology team. You will join a respected group that helps internal staff maximize our Jira product while supporting Atlassian-wide Jira instances globally. As an administrator, you will design, build, support, and maintain Jira spaces to meet new and existing business needs in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Jira spaces (fields, screens, workflows, customer portals, boards), and resolve configuration-related issues

  • Configure and maintain Jira integrations with other applications

  • Manage user permissions and access from Org level down to work item security based on team and policy compliance needs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss requirements, design, and deliver Jira solutions that improve processes and team effectiveness

  • Leverage Jira REST APIs, automation rules, and other advanced features to create solutions that reduce manual effort and solve complex configuration problems

  • Create reports to help teams track space data

  • Support Jira cloud migrations under guidance from senior team members

  • Occasionally guide Atlassians on Jira how-tos

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have at least 2 years of experience configuring company-managed Jira spaces end-to-end, including complex workflows, field configuration, forms, user permissions, and automation

  • You have strong communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Jira solutions

  • You are comfortable using JQL and building Jira dashboards or reports

  • You have experience with Atlassian Org Administration (Atlassian Guard)

  • You have experience configuring Jira integrations with other apps (Atlassian and non-Atlassian)

  • You are comfortable using Jira REST APIs to automate tasks, access data, or extend Jira beyond the standard UI

  • You are familiar with using Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

  • You are an Atlassian Certified Jira Cloud Administrator

  • You have in-depth experience in configuring products and features in the Jira family such as Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira Product Discovery (JPD), Jira Plans, and Assets

  • You have experience with Jira cloud migrations or imports

  • You have experience in administering other Atlassian tools (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)

  • You have experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, SQL, Forge Apps) to support automation, integrations, or reporting
